Scientific Writing Workshop

The PGIS is planning to conduct the Scientific Writing Workshop in mid-August. This workshop is mainly for the Master's students who registered in 2022 in the following programs: Medical Microbiology, Applied Epidemiology, Clinical Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Disaster Management, Science Education, and the Master's students who registered in 2023 for Environmental Science, and Industrial Mathematics.

M.Phil./Ph.D. students who registered in 2022 in any Board of Study and were not offered this workshop previously are now eligible to participate.

Additionally, students (M.Sc./M.Phil./Ph.D.) who enrolled in 2021 or before and were unable to attend their previously offered workshops or had poor attendance now have the opportunity to join the workshop. These students may send a request email to ar@pgis.lk and qa.pgis@gmail.com with the following details:

Name, Registration No., Degree programme, Email, T.P. No.

Please note that Master's students registered in 2022 in the aforementioned programs, and 2023 registered Environmental science, and Industrial Mathematics students do not need to send a request email since they are already included in the participants list.

The Postgraduate Institute of Science (PGIS) is a National Institute established by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in 1996, by an ordinance made by the University Grants Commission under section 18 with section 24A of the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978, for the purpose of providing, promoting and developing higher education in science.

The PGIS is attached to the University of Peradeniya and depends on the university for formulation and implementation of its academic programmes and the award of postgraduate degrees.
