Papers published in International Journal of Environmental Issues are the results of significant original research that have not been previously published. The same manuscripts or a major portion of manuscripts submitted for possible publication of this journal should not be submitted to another journal.
International Journal of Environmental Issues is an electronic, open access journal. However, hard copies of the journal are made available at libraries in many countries and to the authors.
Cover letter should include complete contact information of the corresponding author (Name, email address, telephone number and fax number) and the name and contact information of three reviewers. Include the names of reviewers, if any, to whom the authors do not wish the manuscript to be sent. However, the decision on the reviewers to whom the manuscript is sent for evaluation is made by the Editorial Board.
The Manuscripts should have the following components:
Title page: The title should be complete, but concise. The first letters of all words (except conjunctions and prepositions) should be capitalized. Avoid chemical formulas and botanical names if possible. Title should follow with one line spacing the names of authors with the initials and the first letter of the family (last) name capitalized, and an asterisk to indicate the corresponding author. The affiliation of each author should be indicated after the author names with one line spacing in the order, department, name of institution, complete postal address and email address.
Abstract: Abstract, not exceeding 400 words, should be brief and not too technical. It should summarize the findings as accurately and comprehensively as possible.
Keywords: Provide up to 5 keywords with the first letter capitalized. Avoid the words given in the title if possible.
Introduction: Introduction should include previous work related to the work reported giving relevant references. Previous work of the same authors should also be stated.
Methods and Materials: This section should give sufficient detail to enable others to repeat the work. In theoretical papers, technical details such as computational methods, software programmes should be stated.
Results and Discussion: These two sections may be combined or kept separately depending on the type of research. It is recommended that section be divided further into sub-sections.
Acknowledgements: This is an optional section. However, if the research project that leads to the manuscript to be submitted has been funded, the funding agency should be acknowledged.
References: In the text, references should be indicated by Arabic numerals in square brackets. Authors are expected to check the original source of reference for accuracy. At least half the number of references should be within the last ten years. Use the following sample formats for citation of references.

Figure legends: The legend of each figure should stand alone. However, make the legends as short, but complete.
Tables: Place each table on a separate sheet. However, indicate in the text where each table should appear. Number the tables consecutively with Arabic numerals. The caption of the table should appear above the table. All table columns should have a brief explanatory heading with units as necessary. Vertical lines should not be used in tables. Footnotes, if needed, should be given below the table in font size 10.
Figures: Place each figure on a separate sheet. However, indicate in the text where each figure should appear. Number the figures consecutively with Arabic numerals. Figures should be drafted with larger letters and thick lines so that decrease in size will not reduce the quality of the figure.
Photocopies of figures are accepted only if they can be clearly reproduced. Colour prints are accepted for reproduction at the expense of the authors.
On the form accompanying the galley proof, the corresponding author should indicate the total number of reprints desired. Only ten copies of reprints will be sent to the corresponding author free of charge.
The Postgraduate Institute of Science holds the copyright to all contents published in International Journal of Environmental Issues. A copyright transfer form is available with the galley proof. Agreement of all authors is needed for publication of the manuscript. Republication and reproduction of any material in International Journal of Environmental Issues is permitted under license from the Postgraduate Institute of Science.
Any corrections to published manuscripts in the past 6 months should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief. They would be published in the next available issue under the Section of Errata.
Note: The above guidelines are subject to changes depending on circumstances.
