PGIS RESEARCH GRANTS – 2024/2025 
Applications are invited for funding innovative and collaborative research projects in sciences. The permanent academic staff and scientists of the University of Peradeniya and other institutions associated with the PGIS are eligible to apply.
Projects will be evaluated primarily based on scientific merit. Research studies should involve training students for M.Phil. or Ph.D. degrees at the PGIS. Funding up to a maximum of Rs. 620,000/= per year is available for a project to be utilized for equipment, chemicals, consumables and software, local travel, field visits, patents/publications fee, laboratory analysis, data collection, allowance for postgraduate research students and student’s PGIS registration/course fees.
Three sets of the completed applications with a softcopy sent via email (with the subject: PGIS RESEARCH GRANTS – 2024/2025), should reach the Director of the PGIS on or before November 15, 2024.
